No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process. Our church is sponsoring a support group for people dealing with the loss of a loved one. We understand how deeply grief and loss hurt people and families. GriefShare is a place where many people have found they can begin putting their lives back together again.
GriefShare is a friendly, caring support group that meets weekly to provide help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. Members will find comfort, answers, and hope in every session! Each GriefShare cycle meets for 13 sessions, but you may join our group at any session.

Loss of a Spouse Seminar
On Wednesday, August 6th from 6-8pm, Rogers First is hosting a special 2-hour seminar to help people facing the unique challenges after a spouse's death. This seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts and others who have navigated life after losing a spouse and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance. They share honestly about:
1. What to expect in the days and months after the loss.
2. The surprising emotional, physical, and spiritual effects of grief.
3. Challenges surviving spouses face and how to copy (e.g. loneliness, new household responsibilities, changes in relationships, what to do with your spouse's belongings).
4. Why it won't always hurt this much.
You don’t have to face life without your spouse alone. Visit griefshare.org/loss for more information.
GriefShare is held on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm beginning August 20th at Rogers First Church in Room A12. The cost for the workbook is $20 and can be paid by cash or check at your first session.
