Survey of the Bible: Understanding the Story, People and Periods

Led by Pastor Alan Johnson in the Fellowship Hall

The Bible is the most revered, respected and celebrated books of all time For Christians, however, the Bible is not just a bestseller; it is “God’s Word” – a divine message to us in human language.

Some parts of the Bible are easy to understand yet many are not. To navigate these challenging waters, you need a trustworthy and experienced guide — someone who knows both the world of the text and the ways of God in human history.  Through this study you will discover the big picture of God’s Word!

ENTRUSTED a study of 2 Timothy by Beth Moore

Led by Paula Johnson in Room A16

Learn To Guard What God Has Entrusted To You.  We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves.

In this Bible study, you will be encouraged you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy.  We need each other to stay the course and live lives of faithfulness.

Effective Parenting in a Defective World by Chip Ingram

In Room A12
In this day and age, children face a far more defective world than the children of previous decades. Every day they are bombarded with the pressures and influences of drugs, sex, and violence. Often, parents feel helpless when the corrupt principles of this defective world seem to contradict every godly principle they try to instill in their children.  But the truth is, God has a plan for effectively raising your children and you can learn it.  Chip Ingram teaches the principles for successful parenting as revealed through God’s Word.  You can raise successful children even in this fallen world!
